    Bloody hell, just reading a book on him now. A British Heavy from the 70's/80's, absolute loon it seems, had potential but his head was gone by the sounds of it. Sparred Holmes and other heavies from the time. 6ft 3" 16 stone and a handful. Anyone got any info on him at all, sparring stories or anything????...If you get the chance look him up on youtube. There are some seriously funny moments with him

    Was told a very disturbing prison story about this guy involving an unconscious cellmate and a page 3 rip-out.

    He wasn't good enough to win a British title.
    He was obviously a big storyteller too. He talked absolute bollocks.

    I live on the same estate he did in Wakefield.

    Never knew of him as I'm not originally from here but by all accounts he was a typical beer swilling hard ******* who like nothing more than a few pints and kicking someone's head in on a Friday night.

    Supposed to be a real gent when not on the ale mind.

    Just your stereotypical working class council estate dole waddler who spent all his time in the pub and the rest of it swearing and beating his sons. Just a absoloute nutter of a man. 6ft 3 16 stone kind of bully that's everyone was **** scared of. Ended up as a tramp and dying of alcohol related problems I believe.

    Yeah, off his rocker. I think he would've ran through Mclean if the fight had come off. He didn't do to well against half decent boxers. I'm caught between thinking he was thick as **** or a master manipulator, and have you believe he was thick as pig ****. Either way very dangerous

    2 of his sons are in prison for murder. He was just a very troubled man with anger/alcohol issues.

    He was a good writer even though he spun a good yarn like the gangsters he associated with in the joint.

    I heard rumors he was a bit of a pedo but not sure if there's any real truth to that.

    I think he was a talented athlete, big strong and good at what ever he turned his hand to, but a seriously messed up individual that didn't have the mentality to back up his physical strengths. Holds the prison record for the dead lift I think still
