Paul should give up on 147. Even if he can make the weight, nobody would want to fight him. He should clean out 154.

I'm just going off of what the HBO guys were talking about during the Williams-Wright fight. They spoke about how Williams says he's the most avoided but he had been offered these fight and turned them down, and one was with Kelly Pavlik. Maybe they did'nt have all the facts, or possibly they did.

I spoke with Paul at the boxing hall of fame last weekend and he has a scheduled date with HBO in September but no opponent. They are having trouble finding anyone willing to fight Paul at 147, 154 and 160.

Side note, Peterson said that they actually pulled Paul back during the Winky bout because they knew if they stopped Winky they'd never get any fights.

And that is a bunch of bull****.

Why didn't he bring it up to Paul, Goosen, or Peterson in the post-fight interview??? Exactly. He knew that wasn't the entire story. What a ****ing disgrace. Williams didn't back out of the fight. But I won't go into who lied the most about the situation. As Booradley and I are on a self-imposed gag order bout which liar is the biggest liar.

What's going on with Williams is criminal. The guy is being ducked from 147-160 and no one here seems to have a problem with it. He was run out of 147 because Arum knew he would work his fighters. The man can't catch a break after his destruction of Winky. He's not even ranked in the top 10 P4P lists.

Most of these people call themselves true boxing fans...

And that's what's so ****in stupid about it. These "true fans" don't seem to have a problem with a guy who would be favored to whip anyone's ass in the division who can't get anyone to fight him.

All this p4p and ATG talk, and no one cares that this guy will fight every single one of them back to back to back if he had the chance. And the only excuses everyone can give is "PPV#'s"

What is this a forum full of Bob Arums????

I think it's at the stage now for P Dub that he will have to just take whatever fight he can get in either division. I thought the guys at 154 would be more willing to take him on, but perhaps that was a bit naive although I think a guy like Dzinziruk would give him a fight. It's ****ing ridiculous!

I agree and it's ****ing pathetic. A guy like Williams isn't that popular with people here at ESB if this was happening to a guy like Pac or Cotto people would be starting threads about it everyday and demanding action. I talked to Paul on the "On The Grind" boxing show and he said he could still make 147 easily and he feels he's at his best there.
