When it comes to skills, Williams is overrated. However, he is still one of the best P4P boxers in the world.

He may be weight drained that could have been the issue with Quintana the first time. However i think he takes Floyd. Bad style match up for Floyd. He doesnt like southpaws, (Floyd Senior even said that) Plus it will be harder for floyd to counter Pauls jab with the shoulder roll due to the huge height and reach advantage Paul will be able to land and not get hit. If Floyd cant counter he wont be able to stop Pauls punch output and workrate. Since Floyd is not a busy fighter it will be an aweful night for him. The fights not going to happen so we will never find out.

    how can greatness be overrated???

of course not, matter of fact, hes underrated.....

Paul Williams is beating anyone from 140-168 except floyd.....tim bradley, devon alexander,Manny Pacquiao, sergio martines, felix sturm, kelly pavlik, everyone in the super six tournament, lucian bute....hes beating all those guys. no question about it

He has a win over Martinez. Im all for calling a robery when i see it but that was a close fight that could have gone either way. He should not be considered the best 147-168. (140? thats not his weight class.) from 147-160 i dont think he should be the underdog in any fight.

Its a shame there's not many fights out there for him. The only obvious one is the Martinez rematch, or Pavlik (but most people consider him damaged goods now). I dont think he brings enough to the table to get a fight with Floyd or Manny and I'm pretty sure Top Rank is gna keep the Cotto - Foreman winner away from him

He would have been an easier fight for Pavlik than Martinez was, how Top Rank didnt realise that I dont know. Pavlik doesnt know how to deal with movement and Williams pretty much stands there and throw lots of punches. If I was Pavlik I would try and get a fight with Williams now, as a sink or swim fight.

Only a tad bit. I think he's a damn good fighter, but I also saw him lose by a fairly wide margin to Quintana, I thought he lost the Maragrito fight, and I also had him losing the Martinez fight by the same margin he lost the Quintana fight. I think people overrate his skills against the very best fighters out there who have all given him extreme problems in the ring. He's not quite dominating world class fighters the way Mayweather and Pacquiao tend to do so he is overhyped to an extent.

I thought the fight was close, but fact is there is no way you can put Sergio ahead of him since he won.

Your opinion on the rating of Paul Williams should not be considered. You think margarito beat him? That's ridiculous. He clearly beat a Margarito who demolished Cotto.
