totally sucked what happened to him. but he truly wasn't really even good. he was struggling mightily vs cintron in his last fight and was lined up to get shredded to pieces from canelo. still, phucking sucks he's in a chair
roach is a friggin terrible trainer for someone like PW. Freddie doesn't seem to understand the importance of the jab nor the importance of defense. his disease and pac whipping a few has beens and never was's got him a bunch of those trainer of the year popularity contest. he, in 15 years hasn't been able teach pac anything and khan is 100x better with hunter. all roach has done is trained some hof fighters which he never even trained them in boxing. he got them in decent shape, worked on their offense which are all too predictable. he had never taken a single fighter and elevated his all around boxing skills. NOT ONE
He had an iron chin and was a nonstop punching machine. Only huge punchers, not any run of the mill, but huge punchers with some skill like GGG or Maravilla would of been able to halt his nonstop attack. Floyd would of avoided him, but if he actually did face him he'd win a controversial decision over Pwilly, but a prime Williams was a nightmare head to head for anyone.
I liked Paul Williams, but always said he was a KTFO waiting to happen. He took a lot for granted in that ring.
