Bute is faster, may be a little stronger, and is more technically gifted. Has more options in his arsenal too. Pavlik ain't seeing the final bell and if he is, its going to be lopsided. Pavlik is a walking neanderthal next to Bute.
One thing people forget. Bute, does not run. Kelly has never lost to a fighter who stands in front of him..??
Bute knows how to use angles and doesn't stand in front of anyone. He uses movement but always puts himself in a position to strike. He does not get hit a lot.
Good fight, but I won't know who to pull for. Would rather see Bute vs Ward/Frock and Pavlik have a couple more tuneups before taking the dive back into top contention.
What options in his arsenal? He has a left uppercut ......and let's see, a left uppercut, and wait don't forget about the other option, the left uppercut. Bute is 1-trick pony
Bute doesn't have a great jab, nor does he have an impressive right hook. But he became champion without mastering his uppercut which he just developed recently and that became his best weapon. Even if he just had that, it's deadly! He keeps it like the cherry on the sundae, just for the end!
I think it would be a good fight for Pavlik. His stock would go up even if he lost in a competitve fight. Personally I think its a risky fight for Bute with his left hand down leaning in style and his chin and Pavliks power.
