All you ******s berating Pavlik and calling him a bum are just pathetic.The guy was great for boxing for 2-3 years, always respectful to his opponents, never talked **** and always showed tremendous heart in the ring. So he lost to an all time great(hopkins) and a vastly underrated Sergio Martinez (who many are now ranking the #3 P4P in the world) and all of a sudden he is a bum. Get a ****ing life you losers. I hope to **** Pavlik beats his demons and comes back to win a title.
Well, for starters -- a rematch with Kelly Pavlik would be something Sergio could evaluate. He could also face Pirog, which would be an interesting fight based on styles. I do think that bigger money options exist at different weight classes for Maravilla though. He deserves a big money fight at this point.
Well Kelly declined the rematch and now is in the Betty ford clinic. Pirog is a fight us hardcore fans want to see.
Ask booradley if he will give Martinez his big props for beating Pavlik. I bet he still won't give it cause he has many excuses for the reason why Pavlik lost.
Pavlik lost because he has become a drunk. A prime pavlik off the booze and with no distractions beats martinez. I remember everyone talking about the pantera fight and how miranda throws so fast and so hard and pavlik beat him to a pulp. Martinez throws so fast now,,,,just sayin,,,
Pantera and Martinez are completely different styles of boxing. Pantera was tailor made for Pavlik and Pavlik was tailor made for Martinez.
Pavlik was in shape. There are no excuses, he didnt lose because hes ****, he only lost because he fought a great fighter in Sergio Martinez
A source very close to Team Pavlik told me that Kelly is in "lockdown." Not unusual. Phase One of most treatment programs is a lot like being in a freaking maximum security prison! The accomodations are nicer, and the food is better, but you have ZERO freedom. No visitors, no phone calls, no mail, et. The program at the Betty Ford center keeps these guys jumpin' from 6:00 AM through 9:00 PM. If Kelly applies himself, he'll discharge from the 90 program the first week of February. If he does not apply himself, he's ****ed.
