I'd say Hopkins is a good achievement too - very awkward fighter.

TBH i think 21 title defences against some average, some decent (but far from elite) competition is still impressive... an 11 year title reign is still hard (and very rare) to achieve - only takes underestimating one opponent and it's over.

Admittedly i'm a Calzaghe fan but that doesn't mean I disrespect or have the stupid hate that goes on for pavlik, i think he's a great fighter. He's also exciting to watch which is why I like him.

So, you don't think Pavlik is returning to middle weight then? :D

As long as Calzaghe does not hurt his hands then I think the fight will be made. Calzaghe can make too much money from it, also he will be able to call most of the shots. i.e. where it is held, the split (too a certain extent), the weight, etc.

However, I thinks its best we all wait untill after the fights have been said and done, as I am not 100% that both Calzaghe and Pavlik will come out as winners. I think that they should, its just I am **** at making predictions.

I'll fight you on one week's notice at 140 and knock you the **** out in the 2nd round, as you will be weight drained

I will also have Richard Steele as the referee, to be sure he stops it if you fail to answer "I'm ok" the second he asks you :D

Beating Hopkins is a good achievement for a fighter who is aging. Believe me though, if Pavlik dominates Hopkins even worse than Calzaghe I wont be talking trash to Joes fans since he is an aging fighter. :good

So JC has beaten nobodies, except Kessler???

Let's take a look at his record and most notable fights:

Beat a guy on his way out in Eubank...

Beat once world class contender and champion Robin Reid...Reid "beat" Ottke after this loss...

Decicively beat Charles Brewer who had 2 contoversial losses to Ottke prior this bout...

TKOed former world champ Byron Mitchell in 2 rounds, who just came of a close fight vs. Ottke to lose his title...

Beat Lacy, who was announced the new face of boxing before this fight by a mass of American fight fans...

    And then came Hopkins...

Pavlik has just 2 notable wins compared to this list (his 2 wins vs. Taylor)...

    So legend, what's up?

Kelly's reach and work rate will make this more one sided than most people think. AA relies on his low output to lure people inside and counters. Kelly will never be 'inside' because of his reach advantage and the way he fights. I really don't give AA much of a chance. Kelly doesn't waste punches against a guard. He hits forearms, shoulders and body with the intent of lowering the guard, he doesn't try to just blast through it.

 I dont know whats more funny. You thinking you can knock me the **** out in the 2nd round or me being weight drained. You know the Tijuana Punisher never goes out like a ***** and I am never weight drained. Dont make me start ducking people like last time.

    Slightly ahead... are you kidding?!

Taking nothing away from him as a fighter he hasn't achieved more nor faced the better competition at this stage in his career. He could go on to do a lot more but to say that now is just silly really... 1 title defence against a mandatory vs 21 title defences, taylor, miranda (who abraham beat over 12 rounds with a broken jaw, and KO'd him in 4 in the rematch), and Zuniga and im struggling to think of anyone else...

In comparison to Pavlik, JC has boxed the who is who around his weigh classes...except that Pavlik has 2 good wins but JC easy quadrouples that...
