Pavlik has like 35 potential fighters (around his own weight) who in a way want to fight him and deserve a crack at him. from chad dawson and calzaghe to abraham and dela hoya. but nnoooooooo...... instead throw some welterweights name into the mix, just becuz there around the same height. WTF hu makes these crazy matchups man!!!!! y not just throw pavlik a little manni pacquiao
how did williams even get into this. i dont understand this crap. besides he'd get whooped cuz pavliks punches would destroy a light heavy weight and williams is like a lampost, welterweight hu'd break even if he blocked pavliks punch.
Williams might serve well against Pavlik with his height and length ... but i'm not sure what he would be able to do at MW ... If he loses any of that good movement that he has at WW then he doesn't stand a chance against Kels -- but if he fights the same way he does now, he could possibly take the decision. I'm sure that at a higher weight Williams would be stronger and would be more physical than he is now. But Williams is very hittable and doesn't have enough defense to stand tall against Pavlik.
Kelly himself never seems to talk, but I imagine he wouldn't fight Paul Williams even if it was offered, I recall jack saying Kelly would not fight Duddy because it would be too much of a beating. Anyway, bring on Winky Wright, that fight needs to happen.
