No way in hell does Pavlik go up against Brian Rose. They'll take a fight against Winky Wright for pennies before they take a fight in England against a no hoper like Rose.
I just re-read the article on Vindy.Com. Two points: One, Joe Scalzo is not a very good writer. He often muddles up the facts, starts rumours, and mis-quotes people. Two, after KP talked about Williams and Martinez, the quote says, “And we’re looking at a fight over in England against a guy by the name of [Brian] Rose,” Pavlik said. Note that the name 'Brian' is bracketed. That means Scalzo inserted something Pavlik did not say. Pavlik probably said Rhodes, and Scalzo got it wrong. This is just another Joe Scalzo ****-up, not unlike the derogatory super six article.

If Pavlik agreed to fight Mundine it would be a megga fight over here and would earn more than the $7.5m......and thats just Aussie income :deal

Pavlik has the belts that Williams wants, Williams has nothng that Pavlik wants or could get, except for a "W" on his record, therefore the champ should get the much larger purse. Isn't that how boxing has always worked? If Williams was so confident that he would win, he would accept much less, knowing he will get bigger paydays as MW champ. I think he has a feeling this will be the beginning of his downfall, therefore he wants to get as much money as possible.
eh? rose is a domestic prospect who's not yet ready to take on a british top tenner in his own weight division...why the hell would the world middleweight champion consider fighting him? if he's desperate to fight someone in england at least pick on someone with a little more experience or in his own weight class.
