Late last night Bob Arum told Boxing Scene.Com that Top Rank and Goosen-Tudor are close to striking a deal on the proposed Pavlik/Williams fight. In my opinion Williams needs to tell Goosen to get the damn deal done. If it goes south at this point, Paul's reputation will take a big hit. A guy who is already struggling to get the attention he deserves can't afford that.
god i hope this gets done. this has become similar to an STD screening that takes weeks to get back to you. at first your a wreck waiting for the news to be final and then after a while you are so emotionally drained that your resigned to whatever the news is. this needs to happen, period.

I hope it gets done by tommorow. This is the fight that needs to happen. This will be the biggest win in Williams career if he beats Pavlik. Imo Williams should move up to number 4 p4p if he can beat Pavlik.
If Williams doesn't want any part of Pavlik, this fight wouldn't be still talking. This about the business side with promoters. The fighters don't make the fight, the promoters does. Williams wants this fight just like Pavlik wants it as well.
Thats easier said and done. Williams just like Cotto are fighters that let promoters do the promoting while both are just in the gym to get ready of who they fight.
