Its been 25 years...... I have all this on tape....... But I stopped paying McGuigan and LaPorte any attention at all at the beginning of the 1990s, so that there is 20 yrs ago......

McGuigan is only in the IBHOF due to Politricks.......... Juan LaPorte will not be so lucky there, since 'Rico' already has several key natives already inducted.......

I did, however, tape LaPorte's bizarre 1999 fight with Billy Costello because it was on the undercard of "Holmes-Smith 2." Costello won the sloppy 10 rounder.......

Yeah mate, i know what ya mean. My mind gets kinda fuzzy myself sometimes regarding fights from that time that i havent watched since. LaPorte had a great list of fighters on his resume, he fought them all:good

Guys like Juan LaPorte and Saoul Mamby fought everyone. Yes, no doubt.. But they normally lost the real big fights that they needed to win, as well...

I was never happy with Juan LaPorte and his offensive skills. If LaPorte failed to bomb you out early, he'd then go to the ropes and make ear muffs looking to counter and hit paydirt with a whopper of a shot.. He usually wound up losing the decision cuz he wasn't busy enough with his hands... LaPorte drove me nuts when he'd go into a shell....
