Nope. Ive actually been thinking the opposite, i know there are a few posters who just want to dump on any Anthony Joshua opponant but some others are seriously classing him as a bum and this and that. As a big Joshua fan i feel that Povetkin has a good stake in this fight. Hes had good nights and bad nights and flat nights but mostly its been good nights and theres been some serious highlight reel KO,s in there too. In the division his KO power is 2nd to only Wilder amongst the top guys.

Getting to the end stages of his career now but hes not shot yet and he rations out his energy output very well. Hes full of experience and faced so many different styles. Hes troubled with a good jab at the end of a long reach and can be kept at bay and at a safe distance for periods of time but unless you are hurting him he is coming at you a bit Mike Tyson like bobbing and weaving and looking to get some big hooks in around the back of your gaurd. Hes a very dangerous man still in this division.

And to anybody that goes "But but but Wlad schooled him". Wlad has gone.

I would pick Povetkin to beat all of them

And I'd disagree with you there.

Povetkin struggled to even hurt Ukrainian journeyman in Andriy Rudenko. Multiply him by a factor of at least5, we have Sirenko. Sirenko would literally walk right through Povetkin's weak punches (as Rudenko exposed Povetkin's lack of power) and tear him apart via a brutal KO. Unlike the other Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko, this Ukrainian won't hold back and would go for the KO and get the KO.

Jarrell Miller would likewise walk right through Povetkin and outwork him or stop him.

Filip Hrgovic is far too skilled for Povetkin to cope with in terms of height, reach and movement. Same with Joyce!

Povetkin has done nothing to suggest he is better than Bryant Jennings in the last 3 years.

This. I think Povetkin stops everyone on the list except maybe Pulev and Usyk.

Jennings makes too many defensive mistakes to go the distance with Povetkin.

Breazeale is an oversized punching bag and would get used like one against Povetkin.

Miller is too fat and Slow and would get eaten up on the inside by Povetkin and would get stopped we he gasses.

Pulev I can see getting on his bicycle to survive the fight, but losing a wide decision.

Usyk is skilled, but his durability seems extremely suspect and Povetkin isn't some unskilled hypejob like Gassiev. Povetkin will be bringing the pressure and attacking Usyk from all angles and will be cutting off the ring.

Until somebody beats him, he's a clear top three.

I see a lot of pressure on Joshua, because Wlad dominated a much younger Povetkin. AJ must do the same thing to make a statement, but he might get rocked by a sweeping hook or overhand right.

He stops being top three on the day Usyk announces he’s a heavyweight.

He ran all the way to Europe to acclimate and train before PEDvetkin tested positive for PEDs.

I'm not a big Wilder fan, but I can't fault him here.

I'm speculating as to the response the fight would get now. Wilder is facing another old, past prime guy. It would be true, but the general bias on the board would be much more negative than it is with AJ facing him.

I have Povetkin at 4 which is dead on imop!

Doing head to head Whyte and Parker are under him as they haven't 100% proved to be more effective fighters , I doubt Parker reaches Povetkin status as it's just two class of guys.

Whyte brings a style which could make for a more competitive Joshua fight but then punch resistance comes into play!

I could add Joyce here who can really throw a wrench in bc I see him giving Ortiz a hell of a time and I have Ortiz at 3 still but for how long at 48?

    So overating Povetkin ?

Well you can't overate him bc he's being compared to current fighters it wouldn't make sense!

And no one has actually showed they are much better in the current top 10. This will change soon but right now he's about the number 4 guy to beat.

I believe Povetkin has been one of the most overrated boxers these boards have ever seen.

Any version of Povetkin gets brutalized by Joshua.
