I have not mentioned Munroe's weight anywhere in this thread.
Now, would you kindly cut the crap and address the question posed specifically for YOU.
WAS MUNROE, OFF OF HIS WIN OVER A TOTALLY WASHED UP SHARKEY WHO HAD NOT FOUGHT IN 2 YEARS ,NOR WON A FIGHT IN 3 YEARS

    A CREDIBLE CHALLENGER FOR
JEFFRIES TO RISK HIS TITLE AGAINST?

He previously held the world title, which he won by DQ against Fitz!

No matter which we you look at it, Sharkey was (at his best) an awful lot more proven than Haye. That much is not debatable.

2 years before fighting Haye, Valuev lost to Chagaev (like Sharkey lost to Ruhlin). Then both fought former world champions in Maher and Holyfield. Neither was impressive or at their best in that fight. Both also seem to have retired after this fight. Presumably because the fight made them realise that they no longer had it.

Obviously, with hindsight (and probably even at the time, to the smart fans) Sharkey was further removed from prime, but that doesnt change the similarities between the two.

Sharkey was legitimately kod by Fitz and cheated out of the decision by the referee Earp everyone knows this including you, this also happened in1896 ,Fitz did not fight Corbett for the title until 1897 so he was not champion and was not recognized as such however the fight was billed. Stop splitting hairs.
Sharkey was so far removed from his best as to be a mere facsimile of himself he had not fought in 2 years nor won a fight in 3years. Sharkey lost to Ruhlin by ko.Valuev lost a majority decision to Chagaev ,one of the judges called it a draw.Chagaev was 22-0-1with 17 kos.
Prior to being kod by Ruhlin ,Sharkey was thrown out along with his opponent ,the hapless Peter Maher, for lack of effort, prior to this he was dsq'd against Mexican Pete Everett, who was himself on the way out having won just 1 of his last 7 fights.
After the debacle with Munroe, Sharkey retired for good.

The similarities between the two are that they were both boxers thats about it.
    You stretch credibility too far.

Actually, I did shout exactly that before the fight. As did Mendoza, as did Unforgiven.

But it was the total non effort, obviously, that made it so obvious that he shouldn't be in the ring with Wlad, just as is the case with Monroe.

EDIT: Wait, before it was proposed? Why would anyone be shouting about it before the fight was even proposed, I may have missed something? Were people saying this about Monroe before his fight with Jeffries was proposed?

Can you not answer a question without mentioning Jack Johnson ? He has nothing to do with this debate.
I have allready made up my mind, Munroe was not a credible opponent off of his record. And I gave 20 others who were more credible, 20 others that Munroe managed to avoid in his dismal career.
Sharkey and Maher were not just past prime, they were totally wrecked .
Jeffries did not take a stay active fight he retired after the Munroe debacle and it was not 1 gimme defence it was 3 against Munroe ,Finnegan and Kennedy, that is 3 out of 9, not too glorious now is it?
