good fight. and it sets up the winner to fight the winner of the jennings-szpilka fight which happens 1 week later.

Yeah, really good fight, but IDK if Jennings/Szpilka winner is gonna be risked vs Perez so quickly.

Neither really has the tools to deal with a great overall fighter like Perez, and after beating Abdulsalamov the way he did, Perez is gonna be avoided by any other rising HWs.

This is however a great fight for both Perez and Takam b/c it gives one or the other a great win over a top 20 fighter, and sets them up for a title shot later in 2014.

Takam is a relatively unknown quality. He's got that nice win over Grant, but Grant was a shell of himself, and we all mostly know that Grant wasnt ever a truly top HW. More of a McCline level even when he was winning.

But the way Takam handled him makes me think that we've been missing something in Takam. Overlooking something.:huh Cant place it, but if he beats Perez......skies the limit, and Wlad would have a true challenge.:think

If most "rising" HWs duck the winner of Perez/Takama, there' always Tony Thompson. :) Or may be Chisora. Given the TV build up for the main event , the winner of this fight, especially if the win is spectacular, could find himself under the spotlight:)

That would be great, but Perez was HBO's first choice before Szpilka, and Jennings' management turned down Perez.

But it's understandable, it would be a bad career move for Jennings to fight Perez now. He needs at least 2 or 3 more fights before taking on a top ten HW.

Gonna be a good fight this one, but I've gotta go with Perez. In terms of skill and handspeed he's the equal of any other Heavy out there. Takam is a tough MFer but I have to go with the Irish-Cuban on this one - simply boxes hell outta Takam.

Of course they are black. Pérez is black, Lara is black, Gamboa is black, Rigondeaux is black, even Richar Abril has possibly a black parent.

    What about Castro?

I hope the winner fights Wilder, but Wilder will not fight Chisora, Thompson or anyone...............................

Why do 90% of this bots posts involve wilder? Anyway we could just move all of his attempted posts to one single thread so no one has to bother with this boring ****?
