Hey I just got the Perfect Pushup for my birthday, I want to know if someone here ever used them and how they worked. I have bad shoulders so also so tell me how safe they are for the joints/shoulders. Here's a picture

What do you want to achieve? They'll put a little more strain on your shoulders than ordinary pushups.

You won't get anything more out of that than you would doing normal pushups.

I've used them and they do their job. There isn't really much else to add. They are slightly better than doing normal pushups in my opinion. If you have them, use them, if not, floor pushups are just as good.

I want to improve strength. I have very bad shoulders from benching too heavy/wrong a few years ago, so I bench light now and if these are better than that's a godsend.

Why do you think these are worse for your shoulders?

I'd only say they're worse because there's a more extensive range of motion, it's more of a guess though.

Strength-wise, I wouldn't say these are the ideal exercise, but you'll be severely limited for choice if you've got bad shoulders. Give them a go.

Man, a push up is a push up. The difference is miniscule.

You might have suffered from this simply because of weak antagonists, you've probably been benching and pressing for a while and not working nearly as much on your back musculature.
    It's a classic bench-press syndrome.
What I would do if I were you is cut out anything involving pressing things to the front, be it yourself or weights.
Include a lot more compound exercises involving your back, chins, barbell row, power cleans etc.
Then you should do overhead pressing instead of bench pressing, such as push-presses and military presses.
The bench press not very functional when you think about it, when are you ever facing something straight forward standing totally erect in any sport?
You're always bending forward using your legs in conjuction with your shoulders and arms.
The bench press is basically only good for one thing: bench pressing.
Pushups fall under the same category, really.
