I'm also a big fan of Peter and his success rate speaks for itself, unfortunately I do not think we will see much more from him as he said he doesn't have the motivation to train anymore (has said he doesn't need the money and only does it as a hobby) and Marshall will be his last big project. Lets hope someone can walk into the gym and change his mind.
Peter Fury ruined Fury's offensive capacity and failed to keep him in a stable environment, failed to understand the needs of his fighter. He also failed to keep Fury's weight in check and so every camp was a fat camp. He engineered a horrible style for Hughie which they've now been trying to undo since it has failed at top level and failed commercially. His corner advice in the Wlad fight was shockingly useless. Tyson Fury would have been a world champion with any number of trainers.
I don't think he really understands the S+C side of it either. I appreciate most camps usually have S+C coaches, but I don't think it's a coincidence that his fighters rarely look in top shape. They're usually carrying a bit of timber. There's also old videos of Tyson doing deadlifts with horrible form. Clearly their training methods are quite old school.
Breaking News - Peter Fury just been appointed as manager of Sheffield Wednesday FC. Football fans advised to comply with social distance rules of 2 miles from this ground while he is in post.
Hughie Fury needs to move on and get away from his father. I don’t think he gonna learn anymore from him and needs a fresh start with a trainer with new ideas. Everyone keeps talking about how young he still is at 26 but he’s been a pro since he was 18 and has he really shown that much improvement over the years? Each time he’s stepped up in class against Parker, Pulev and Povetkin, he’s been found wanting. I think Peter has taken him as far as he can.
