How has he amassed such a large cult following who all repeat the same thing ad infinitum

    • Here is a real fighting man
    • No nonsense Peter. Tells it like it is.
    • No one more honest than Peter
    • Refreshing to hear his views and opinions.
    • Here's someone who's got such good morals and character.
    • The world needs more Peter Furys
    • A true boxing man
Hasn't this guy got a shady criminal past and alleged to have short changed Tyson Fury along with Fat Mick, hence the fallout.

Every interview, is just 10 to 15 mins of him whinging and moaning and moaning some more about everyone and how selfish and greedy they are and how much of an upstanding human he is.

    What gives?

He's a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction.

If you haven't caught on, the entire clan is that way.

It's not going to happen, but I think Peter Fury would be the perfect trainer / coach for AJ.

Every YouTube video has the same top rated comments. You mentioned a lot of them.

“Could listen to Peter talk all day”
“Tyson made a big mistake leaving Peter”
“The only one of the Fury’s worth listening to”

By the way, I love the boxing clichés in general.

    “Proper boxing man”
“Lives the life (out of the ring)”
    “Ships too much punishment”

    etc.

It's hardly a shady past, he's openly talked about it. Hughie was still with Mick after the Peter-Tyson split.

Other than that, agree with everything you said; Peter is listenable but clearly doesn't enjoy speaking to most of the youtuber crowd.

He did the crime and did the time. Paid the government back a lot of his ill gotten goods too.

So what he sold drugs. Successful people in boxing have done immoral things too. If you haven’t clocked on yet, pretty much anyone who amasses wealth in the world will have done some bad things to get to that position. There’s no rules to the game when it comes to attaining success.

People usually like to hear what Peter Fury says because he more often than not talks a lot of sense about boxing. There are far, far more characters in British boxing worthy of criticism than Peter Fury. He largely minds his own business in Cannes and keeps himself to himself.

The way you conceptualise success is certainly narrow. The irony is that the way Peter Fury conceptualises success these days is in contrast to this. However, just because someone says something doesn’t make it true. Some John on the internet isn’t going to have a clue about the legitimacy of some ex-drug baron’s current assets.

“So what he sold drugs. Successful people in boxing have done immoral things too.” As if there’s not a spectrum. Contributing to the ruining of lives en masse is near the more sinister end, I’d suggest. Anyone involved in drugs is pond scum.

He's the best Fury but that's like picking which terminal illness you'd like to have.

I like him. Great trainer and I do enjoy his often very insightful straight talking. As for him stealing money, he trains his fighters for free. As for the Tyson situation, I don't really know and it's a family thing. What I do know is that Tyson paid Hennessey £1.5m after court action.

Except for the boxing chat. I know we're not all fans of women's boxing but getting Savannah Marshall's name wrong and then asking if women are pro or amateur, is a bit daft.

Yeah, he was definitely a very, very bad man. More or less confesses to at least having people killed. But also says he wishes he’d never got into crime as it’s not worth it.

I like him, honour and loyalty seem to be important to him. I wonder if that’s why the split with Tyson happened.
