Gimme a ****ing break man. I'm pretty happy about Peter's pathetic display tonight because I really don't like the guy, but enough is enough. Klitschko ran his ass of from that pathetic, talentless, lumbering piece of garbage until he was gassed then Wlad caught him with a few hard shots late, yet still couldn't drop him despite the fact that Peter was dead tired. Sorry, but you don't get to rip Peter apart for his performance and still give Wlad credit for beating him. That fight was almost as ugly as what we saw tonight.

People need to wake up and realize what a joke the HW division is.

I like most of your posts man, but I'll choose to respectfully disagree with you on this point. There are bunch of talentless jokes, fat slobs and guys who just wouldn't be anywhere near title contention in almost any other era running around in the top twenty, and to top it off there are about 2/3 meaningful fights in the division, if that, a year. I was honestly looking forward to Peter/Maskaev and Vitali coming back, but noooooooo I got to watch this **** fest instead. Did McCline deserve an interim title shot? I thought he was a tune up for Vitali's comeback. I suppose Peter could be given some credit for surviving the third round, but that fight was embarrassing to watch. WTF happened to skilled big men? Wake me up when there's a unification and Wlad can finally (hopefully) establish himself. The fact that Fat Toney managed to get himself in the HW picture based solely on his remaining skills should have been a tip off.

Peter's chin isn't glass - but what we found out tonight is that it ain't granite, either. :nod

Still, I'm impressed he survived at all. That alone proves his chin isn't utter china.

Guys with glass jaws get laid out cold, like Fraudley. :nod

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with your entire post, just this part. Both Oleg and Vitali pulled up lame and Peter and Jameel both needed opponents. I thought it was a good job saving a fight card for the fans and businesses involved. Probably should have been a 10 rd special attraction fight, but networks, promoters, and sanctioning bodies would all see less money. I'm not happy with the state of the division, but the show must go on.

I always thought Mccline had a big punch, its just that he has such a poor stamina that he doesnt commit to his punches out of fear that he will gass to quick and embarrass himself. But on those rare occasions when he commits he has scary power actually.

He is getting around with stronger competition so his chin is tested more and more.
It will come time somebody KO him soon ...

In a rematch with Wlad, I would put money on an early conclusion before I put money on either fighter. :yep Either could be stopped.

mccline is not a big pucher; but he was a solid, last minute replacement with nothing to lose, he stood-up to peter and, wouldn't you know it, the shield of hype just disapeared. sam can expect tough fights from here on out, because no one's buying into this bs anymore. what's of even more interest to me is how this fight will affect his confidence, and if peter will change his approach in future fights.
