It is Over man for Samuel.

    I always liked the guy.

    Fought the best

    lost but fought the best

I have no doubt Peter would have walked down that British China Chinned Fraud and Ko him brutally with Jab.

    Even at 300 lbs.

As for WHO NECKS. 6 mos off, working down to 235, then a fight with Arreola or Tua. Another immobile fighter. Then a couple more bouts against top 20s, and maybe another title shot at the WBA.

Chances are that he'll not train, not dedicate himself, and relegate himself as a gatekeeper though.:deal

    Retirement.

It doesn't seem that long ago that he was put in against WALDO in that crossroads fight.

Peters has always struggled against the Soviet sorta style of boxing.

It's about motivation and attitude. He doesn't have it. He wasn't even taking rest on the stool between rounds tonight.

Peter could probably end up getting another relevant fight based on his name value and his vulnerability. He'll probably get another big fight and lose that before spending a couple years as a gatekeeper. His days as a top 10 guy are over but he did have a nice run.

Now Peter is down to journeyman level. It will be a tough road for him. A couple small paydays against nobodies, maybe he can be a gate keeper for younger opponents.

It'd be a miracle if Peter ever worked his way up to a mandatory title shot and he's too tough for a voluntary defense as there are easier victims to pick from.

 I hadn't even realized that.

The torch is passed from one N. Nightmare to another.

Helenius also has more of a puncher's chance against Wlad (assuming he gets an opportunity down the line) than Peter ever did.

It isn't that Peter's power was overrated; it's just that he is too short and stubby. Helenius can throw nice long bombs and has the length to actually fight fire with fire against WK.

Mind you, he's still a long shot to win...but more of a puncher's chance than Sam had just due to body types and styles.

    lol sure he is

WBC eliminater against Mccline who isn't even ranked in the top 40, then jumps to #9 i believe right before the fight courtesy of Don King, then floors Peter 3 times and clearly wins but gets robbed courtesy of Don King.

Then a early stoppage against Maskaev who he couldnt even drop. What a true champ...
