anyone else watch the peter manfredo jnr fight on espn at the weekend? i still find it hilarious that he ever got a chance of fighting calzaghe for the world title, he is a limited fighter with ok power. i think this would be an ideal fight for either george groves or james degale to get a win over a known fighter and be able to look good at the same time, for exposure in america.

i think they would both stop manfredo jnr in the mid to late rounds.

Manfredo is at Middleweight now though. Would be a good fight for Craig McEwan.

This be true - apparently he's having "one more crack" at the big time. In my opinion, he'd be better off moving up to Light Heavy from SMW than moving down to Middle as the LHW division, at present, is appauling.

The LHW would eat him for breakfast ffs as would the big hitting middles. Just not that good.

Calzaghe-Manfredo Jr at least had one of the funniest/saddest stoppages of recent years.

Light Heavy is stronger than Middle.

Joke all you want, but any more of that punishment and Manfredo's cheeks may have started to redden slightly.

bit off topic but that calzaghe stoppage is arguably the worst stoppage in a world championship fight in history

we know but manfredo did himself no favours not punching back and being in a very vulnerable position.

if you want to see a worse stoppage look at luciano torres vs calzaghe for some great laughs. joe even walks over to the ref like :huh
