Still glad for Verno, but also feeling bad for Spinks. On a different note, I hope you wouldn't have put too big of a chunk on Cory. I don't care where you're fighting, laying odds on a 6-1 favorite who isn't a power puncher, against a guy with decent skills and a solid chin, just isn't a good bet. Plus you knew Verno would be all in, this being his last shot at the titles for all intents and purposes. The over was the play. Better odds, and more tamper proof.
I disagree. A Spinks win was pretty much as close to a sure thing save the robbery. It's not people faults that they can't forsee a robbery.
Spinks stinks. Mayorga was robbed in his fight with Stinks. Stinks is one of the more boring fake boxer's ever. Nobody wants to watch him fake a fight. Spinks is a very excellent sleeping pill.

Spinks was screwed in this fight and should protest. Decisions like this hurt the credibility of our great sport and have to stop.
He was boxing ... fighting on the inside ... moving good and wasn't getting hit much. Phillips landed a punch here and there but he followed up with nothing and Spinks always fought back everytime ... he had zero periods of inactivity.
That wasn't even a clean win over Karmazin. Does it suck for Spinks? Yeah. But guess what? What goes around, comes around. All the **** boxing's done that's been crooked, and somehow this is when it loses integrity? Gimme a ****in break. If you benefit from that, which Spinks has, you've got zero right to ***** when you're on the other side of the table. Yup, I heard Spinks actually got boo'd in his hometown. This guy is a runner, terrible for the sport.
So getting the wrong end of a scandelous robbery is ok if the fighter is not one of your favorites. Remember he got robbed in a title fight once before against Piccirillo.. Either love the sport or love your favourites.. Robberies leave a sour taste , its unfairness i hate......
