I think Joshua’s chin is fine. He seems to have been dismissed as chinny in the way people who didn’t have a clue used to say Lewis was chinny. Every heavyweight can get caught with a perfect shot that has them in bother, and every heavyweight (probably except Hughie Fury) has the ability to land the sort of shot that does catastrophic damage. Case in point, if, (and it’s still an if) Fury landed a short right that burst Wilder’s ear drum, then it’s no surprise Wilder looked out of it thereafter.

But clearly, as Lewis did, if you’re able to take shots from Tua, Bruno, Briggs, Tyson and Klitschko and stay up then your chin isn’t useless.

Yeah Tyson is as much of a pillow fist puncher as Joshua is Chinny! Joshua took clean punches off of the likes of Whyte, Klitschko and Povetkin and went on to finish them all. Fury is not the most powerful puncher at HW but he hits hard enough to hurt and damage his opponents!! On the other hand Joshua is a monster puncher and Fury does have a great/ elite chin!! All makes for a great matchup!!

When a man of 6’9” and 270 pounds hit’s you it hurts.
He can’t not pack a punch.

Same people who believed Fury was feather fisted are the sane ones who believe Edfie Hearn on Sky today when he says Wilder can punch a little bit and weighed 15st in fight the other night.

He clearly has pop when he sits down on his shots

I dont think he is chinny but he does seem to take longer than normal to recover from shots. I think he gets stunned quite easily.

Looks like it may have not been the fact Fury can punch and was in fact his outfit!

I don’t believe he’s packing glass either. Anyone can get chinned in the heavyweights. His anxiety over taking a shot is his current problem I reckon. He was almost freezing up when Ruiz got to him them 2 times...that anxiety causes more oxygen to be needed in the brain which depletes the muscles. If he’s gonna continue to carry that timber (although admittedly much less now) then he’s got to learn how to relax again when under a barrage of shots, otherwise he will gas big time.

Ironically I think Wilder wasn't actually far off when he said Fury has pillows for fists. But, the thing is, even a pillow can hurt you. Michael Buffer was on Mike Tyson's podcast and they were talking about CTE and he said that if two girls have a pillow fight every night, one of them will end up punch drunk.

If Fury had more concussive punching power he'd have knocked Wilder out cold. Because he has 'pillows for fists' he did Wilder so much more damage.
