The referee is a joke he is clearly not capable of making the right decision in a fight where McDermott was quicker to the punch, had much better success with the jab and landed far more power punches. Fury got beat fair and square.
I would say McDermott won by at least 4 rounds and that is being generous to Fury.

    ****ing joke result.

Well worth watching, Dermott's a good fighter, worst scoring I've seen in Britain since I don't know when.

I thought Mcdermott won 7 - 3 and I thought he won some of the rounds pretty clearly. Rounds 3, 4,7 and 8 I dont see any argument for Fury getting them. I also gave Mcdermott 1, 5 & 9 but felt they were closer. The 98-92 (8 rounds to 2,) score for Fury is shocking.

I felt that it was a draw.

    The problems were threefold:

    1. Fury's rounds were pretty close, McDermott's were pretty clear.

    2. Fury's workrate was generally pretty high, the punchstats show that...... McDermott did a lot of holding and ineffective stuff.

    3. The commentary - Adam Smith and Jim Watt were an absolute disgrace, everything McDermott did was amazing, Fury was ineffective throughout.

The most annoying thing was Watt saying that Fury's resume to date was full of bums - his 7 fight resume pisses all over any other British fighter since Lennox Lewis!

Big John beat his arse and got robbed. It's a disgrace. Not the first time he's been jobbed by the ref/judges.

i'd have had John by 6 rounds to 4.
IMO Mcdermott won 5 rounds clearly so it should have been a draw at worst for him. Only the 6th and the 9th were clear rounds for fury so scores of between 5-5 or 6-4, 7-3 to mcdermott would have been acceptable but 8-2 for fury is a complete joke. He just wasn't the better fighter in there and was bullied about the ring.

There should be an investigation into this, where the ref has to justify how he scored 8 rounds to Fury.

What a ****ing joke. I was in shock when he lifted Fury's hand. But 8 rounds to 2? He'd clearly already made his mind up about who was going to win.

How often do we see terrible performances by British refs and then see them reffing fights again. He needs to find another job.

the refereeing wasn't the problem, he did a good job refing the fight but you can't ask one guy to ref and score the system is to blame just as much
