Povetkin would probably grind Haye down. Haye would definitely be able to land some countercombs but I see Povetkin prevail by late stoppage. Great fight if it was made. David knows there are good fights out there for him. He could milk the Brits with fights like that. But no, he wants one mega-payday against a Klitschko. Haye had his chance - it's time to move on and fight guys of his caliber. The Klitschkos are on a different level. Fight your way up by beating guys like Povetkin, Adamek etc. That's when the Klitschkos would be forced to fight you again. Best way to do it, David.
Would be a great fight. Povetkin has the experience and looks like he's improving going by Rahman. Haye would not take this fight even if Vitali passes on him.
I cant stand Haye. Hes a **** talking con artist, and hes kinda gay also. That being said, I really havent been impressed with Povetkin in a while. He sure was a sucker for right hands against Huck, wasnt he? Whats Hayes money shot (besides what he leaves on Adam Booths' back)? I like Haye in this one. In fact, the next serious heavyweight that gets Povetkin is gonna whip his ass, I believe. Maybe that is why they finally seem ready to cash out on him in a Soviet Bloc super fight with Wladimr. Depends on what kind of shape Povetkin is in, honestly. I'd favor him by decision, if he was in shape. If the Povetkin that fought Huck shows up, Haye would ice him.
Povetkin is the far better heavyweight and a win over him now means more than the win Wlad has over Haye from last year... That said, I'd pick Haye to take a comfortable 8-4 decision from Povetkin.
