buncey last night compared it to joe fraziers style...
i was thinking before he said it, as i was watching the fight, that it reminded me of floyd patterson..bent knees, duck low and jump in with the hook..
but buncey was on the money..its probably more frazier than patterson..
sexiest left hook in heavyweight boxing at the moment i think...
hard to judge how much power povetkin has...he didnt look great last night, but there's still something i like about him..

Frazier put more trunk and especially legs in this punch. I think Povetkin has amature boxing textbook hook.

Last night he won, but I wasn't impressed by his performance, I think it's too early for him to fight Klitschkos, both of them will give him a bad beating, I think Haye can ko him in 5 rounds, he is open for counters, yesterday he was taking some flash punches from Estrada. But his left hook was nice I agree

why isnt estrada fighting at cruiser?

povetkin looked fat last night, entering at a career high. he needs to bulk up properly or

else trim to 220 and use speed and workrate. not his best showing last night but your

right doug, he does have good power in that, throws it like he intends to hurt someone

    bad

I thought the fight could have been a draw maybe a one point W for Povetkin I was not at all impressed, infact at the end of the fight the only question I have regarding the IBF eliminator is, are those fights supposed to be 12 rounds in a title eliminator? if I remember correctly they are.

dont think this was the ibf eliminator just a comeback after injury, he achieved that in the tournament beating chris byrd and eddie chambers did he not?

I would love to see his left hook. I highly doubt it's comparable to Frazier's which was one of, if not, the greatest left hook ever.

I'm not at all impressed with Povetkin. IMO - he's got good fundamentals, but shitty defense. He pretty much gets by on workrate and stamina, and doesn't have anything to offer beyond that. Had he not won a gold medal in the ams, he'd just be another fringe contender.

Povetkin is much better than Chambers or Estrada. He is better than any American heavyweight. He is top ten and would knock Haye out. You should show the rest of the fight to see Estrada almost knocked out.
