is there anyway to practice slipping or bobing and weaving without a partner? besides just doing the motions.

Whenever i dont have access to a gym, try and get someone your down with from your gym, but if you can't do that, just get one of your boys with decent speed in his hands and tell him to just swing..

As opposed to not doing anything, its great, and it still helps your punching instincts a bunch (for me at least), but try and get someone from your gym first, i did for about a week, but than he wasnt even down to help me out, said he didnt wanna do anything unless he was at the gym..

Had my dad helping me for a minute too, (he used to box, as well as my older brother), but i dont live with either of them anymore..

So, if you have a friend with fast hands, see if he can make it to help you out, of course its not as good as someone with experience, but you can try and teach them basic combos, (not that it works...) but still helps your defense.

If you can't get anyone else, Reflex Bag, Duck Rope, and Shadowboxing should work fine.
