Povetkin had his wits about him and was trying to get up.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh his own trainer was running up the steps waving to stop the fight

Povetkin looked done and had no objections when the referee was telling him the fight was stopped.

The man was so damage, he was 100% done. He literally had no idea where he was after the first knockdown, he had his head between the ropes for at least 4 seconds.

You're kidding. He almost fell through the ropes on the first knockdown and his corner was trying to stop it. on the second.

He barely beat the count the first time.

If it had gone any longer, he wouldn't have got up at all.

I'm usually one who agrees with this -- but while it didn't absolutely have to be stopped, I can't argue with it too much

The fight was stopped at exactly the right time imo. Pov did well getting back on his feet when knocked down the 1st time. When a fighter is badly hurt and in survival mode u don't want him taking too many unnecessary shots to the head from a big puncher like AJ

Yes. But the bodybuilder would have probably decapitated him on the next knockdown though, lol.
