Premier Sport?

I'm pretty sure I heard that they were profitable from Boxing. It was the Football that did them.

 

Yup too many morons were happy to pay Sky for PremPlus, but when Setanta got the rights to those games and offered a better more flexible package (no annual subscription) they complained. Setanta annually was more expensive than PremPlus, but as I said it damn well offered a lot better value with all the boxing and other sports it had. Then there was a big riot about them having exclusive rights to England away matches. Now I agree all England games should be free-to-air, but these idiots didn't complain when Sky had a long contract for England games.

Yet these people are happy to shell out £35 a month for Sky Sports which offers no where near the same level of value. When you paid Setanta your £12.99 a month (it was £9.99 for a while) you got everything included, you weren't expect to shell out another £14.99 to watch a big boxing match like Sky expect you to do. And you didn't have to pay extra for some Premiership football, unlike Sky again with PremPlus.

Daylight fúcking robbery Sky are and it's a crying bloody shame Setanta went the way it did.

 

I worked for Setanta for a little while and while their product was great there business and way of conducting it was terrible. They ripped a hell of a lot of customers of and when they needed these customers to come back they refused. On the whole if they had invested a little more time in the customer service side of things im convinsed they would have had a stay of execution (for another year of so anyway)

 

Purchasing all those events and charging only 13 pounds a month is exactly why Setanta is no longer around.

 

it could have worked he lan was a good one , the problem they had is that they didnt have the money behind them to take a couple years of non profit or even loosing money whilst there product and subscription grew

also as the other guy said they had a shitty customer service and lost alot of customers and potentiol customers that way , is omeone like espn did what they did they could hang around long enough for it to catch on and become a household regular like sky
