I think Mayweather would get decisioned but avoid the beating, Oscar would last the 12 rounds but lose clearly, Shane would make it a tougher fight then Oscar but still lose a decision, I think Tito would've been stopped actually, Cotto would be annhialated within 6 rounds, Margo destroyed within 6 rounds also, am I missing anyone in the past era worth mentioning

Nah... Mosley would make it tougher than Floyd. I don't think a guy smaller than SRL can try to outbox him, it won't work.

Exactly, Leonard was able to beat Benitez, who's a much tougher opponent than Floyd is at welter.

I think you covered it.... I think prime Leonard would have to go to JMW or Middleweight to get a challenge in this era.... I can't think of any offhand that I would pick over him.

Hagler was slow, plodding, fought a bad strategy, relativly low output. He still had power, his chin and some accuracy but that's it. Pavlik would win pretty clearly just by outworking him. Prime Hagler would destroy Pavlik. But the Hagler that Leonard faced was not far from being completly shot.

Hagler would be arrested for manslaughter versus Pavlik.

Hagler may have looked slow against SRL but would he really be that slow with Pavlik?:huh
And he fought a bad strategy early on trying to box with Leonard which lost him rounds but if he boxed with Pavlik he wouldnt loose rounds. Maybe Pavlik can get a decision based on output as you say but in order to do that he has to be very active and press the fight and then you are assuming that Hagler does not catch him with some nasty counters as he is wide open and hurt him.

It's a shame Benitez didn't train for that fight:-(. Floyd is a gymrat and win or loss would still give Leonard problems.

It has nothing to do with this era sucking or not (it does not IMO). SRL wiping the floor with the current crop of 147-154 fighters has more to do with him being a top 5 P4P ATG. He would arguably beat almost every single 147-154 in history with 2-3 exceptions. And those exceptions are top 10 P4P ATGs.

I don't think it is being all time great as much as it is H2H ability. I think it is his insane speed and skill in the ring that would make me pick him over any other current fighter, not that fact that he is higher on the ATG list.

meh :bart I still think Trinidad would beat the **** out of everyone from 147-160 today, and YES this era sucks compared to the 80's and 90's. :deal
