Kostya was past his prime when he fought Hatton who was in his prime. How would this fight have gone if Kostya was in his prime?

    good question.
i have a lot of respect for both fighters and i'll probably favour kostya, but neither of these guys were ever realy top fighters - some people might not agree with me there.

Hatton beat him only after punching him deliberately underneath the scrotum.

Primes? Hatton doesnt make it to the 8th round.

Kostya would stop Hatton. Although Hatton is a good B-level fighter, Kostya was better. From what I remember, Kostya was never hurt by Hatton. He was mauled, headbutted, low blowed, etc. I think fatigue was more of the reason that Kostya just said, "To hell with it..."

never hurt? I think a fractured jaw and a brain swell would argue otherwise!

Have to go with Koysta late KO, nothing against Hatton, I just rate prime KT highly.

Yeah, but were those from legal punches or all the headbutts Hatton delivered? Besides, what I meant was that I don't recall Kostya being on the verge of going down even with those injuries which I can't honestly remember.

Prime for Prime you have to side with Kostya but I think it goes the distance.

Headbutts? Would you headbutt someone if you had skin as fragile as Ricky Hattons? He's not Bernard Hopkins.

In his prime and if the fight was in america in a decent sized ring, Tsyzu would have done similar to what pacquiao did. Tsyzu KO 3

Tszyu in his prime easily beats Hatton by KO.

Hatton lunges in with his chin in the air and it would be lights out for Ricky.
