:patsch It really is unbelievable that venus is taking that stance.

I actually rang my mate to double check, and his response was, "i wouldnt even know how to take the bloody thing out".

Posts of advertisements on other channels, no technical problems and more buys than the mcloskey fight. But when asked where ads are goes quiet, when told card wasnt taken out goes quiet and when asked for viewing figures goes quiet.:think

    Strange eh?

Perhaps he/she doesn't have the authority to adlib on such matters. Probably told the boss at Primetime that ESB are not happy with the standard fob off lines and need something better.

I would pay for all primtime fights if they got David Pleat in commentating alongside Duke.

Sorry I'm not here permanently as I do have other things to do, unfortunately as I have explained many times in many threads. Primetime do not release figures for buys as we work with numerous promoters and promotions all figures are confidential. All releases are at the discretion of the promoter so it is up to the Khans whether they release the figures

With regards technical issues, if there had been one no-one would have got the event. The only possible way to get a blue screen is by not having your viewing card in the box or not having rebooted your box after removing the viewing card when ordering. A lot of people remove their card to obtain the viewing card number which is why we make clear numerous times that the card must be in the box and the box booted up when ordering or you may miss your signal causing a blue screen.

I thought the coverage was really good. Their interviews and their decision to not go to commercial breaks between rounds, was pleasant to see. It was obviously never going to be up to Sky's standards, but for a young, low-budget channel, Primetime have to be commended for their effort. I don't see how any boxing fan can complain about a company that's offering boxing on an alternative network. More options is surely better for us, no? Granted, it was PPV, but the free fights they showed in the build up to it, was a good touch.

Also, I'm glad to hear it did more buys than the McCloskey fight. Proving Khan can indeed do better numbers than Froch, and doesn't need the benefit of a Sky promotion to do so.

B4E is just being very bitter in his opening post. He's come across quite pathetic in the build up to this fight, making his agenda pretty clear.

If they're offering us boxing we wouldn't have seen otherwise then great, but if they're just taking fights from standard Sky and slapping them on PPV that's a different matter.

Considering HD is not new technology I would think so as well!!

Your SD picture quality isn't the best either. I would hope your future HD coverage isn't sub par like the BBC is for instance where it just looks upscaled due to the low bitrate

I guess I would say this as I had no issues, but I am amazed at the anger some posters are displaying. Without Primetime there mights well not have been any UK coverage of the fight. I think £15 for a unification fight, particularly featuring a UK fighter, is a good deal these days. I have ordered boxing previously from Primetime, all the Froch and Kitschko shows, don't think I have missed one, and have never had an issue. I just registered over the website when Primetime first started showing boxing, now I just hit record in my Sky Plus planner and it debits my account and I have the show, have watched several and it has always worked first time without any complaint or issue.

So while some people clearly still think Primetime should be knocked, I for one am supportive and pleased any time that a broadcaster elects to show more boxing in the UK. I thought it was great on Saturday, as on top of the good coverage of domestic bills that Sky give us, it showed that both Channel 5 and Primetime have the access and the team to give us other viewing options and deliver bills with name fighters fighting for significant titles. How often do we get two big title fights on the same night where opinion is genuinely divided on the outcome?

So this might be an unpopular view, but I thought the Channel 5 and Primetime shows were great (although I agree with the poster who said that Jim Rosenthal could have done with a second studio guest, he looked a little lonely at times!), I will tune in to their future shows and am very glad that they have joined the mix.

Duke McKenzie is absolutely awful. I think thats something you need to address, you must realize some of the things he's coming out with are woefully inaccurate and ignorant of the current boxing landscape. Peter 'Quinlin' :verysad
