Seen this guy on Bunce's show last night.

Is he for real? He was rude to Barry Jones and the interview got quite awkward. Was difficult to watch.

Seems to be very ****y, is he any good?

he has that typical attitude that they have these days, Tibbs spends his days tweeting him begging him for a follow so ask him

He hasn't really fought anyone to test how good he is but he comes across like quite a vile person to be honest.

The first couple of interviews with him I saw I found a little bit funny, he did them with a bit of a smile on his face, it was all tongue in cheek and he was full of himself.

It didn't come across to me like he was being anything other than cheeky and trying to get himself a few bigger fights.

It seems to have taken a turn now, it is not coming across as funny and he is just being arrogant d***.

I feel for him a little bit because he has been badly advised or he should have been given a little bit of a talking to and somebody close to him should have told him to calm it down.

British boxing fans can be unforgiving, if he takes it to far he will never be able to turn it around.

Compelling viewing though, right? I quite like the extreme self-esteem thing he has going on.

I agree, it is, but it's turning into a car crash PR wise.

We've seen it all before, in recent memory with Eubank Sr and Naz. Patel isn't doing something new but he is pushing it to its limits by taking things a little too far in my opinion.

I wish him all the best, I'm sure he isn't a bad person, he is just taking a gamble and trying to get his name out there by being as controversial and in your face as possible.

And to be fair it's working, we are talking about him now, if he wasn't doing this, wasn't being arrogant and rude would we even know who he was?

I just hope he doesn't take it too far, for him personally, I hope he gets some decent fights and makes decent money but like I say he has to walk the streets and boxing fans can be unforgiving.

When it comes to brazen arrogance in boxing, there is a fine line between entertainment and plain cringeworthiness. Floyd Mayweather Jr, for example, has the intelligence, wit and charisma to pull his self confidence off, and whilst often coming across as a bit of a tit, he is on the whole respected and liked by the wider public.

Adrien Broner on the other hand falls in to the school where the arrogance that is projected is merely done for imitation, as he and has handlers believe that acting like a total ***** will gain him publicity. Watching him stumble his way through interviews and basically sound like he doesn't have two brain cells to rub together is exactly what Prince Patel sounds like when he conducts an interview.

He is about as charming as a wet towel.

he is an average boxer not poor , but certainly nothing major. I think he knows this and is therefore trying to make as big a name for himself outside the ring to command more viewers and in turn more money. He might get to British title level personally I think that’s just a bit beyond him. So he will make as much “noise” as he can so he can earn as much as he can whilst in the sport.

It just means that when the hate comes his way and it will then he wont have a leg to stand on to counter it as he is the one that courts this response to make a name for himself. He knows what he is doin, to be honest its working but I don’t see him being around long time… once he gets beat I imagine the interest will die down a fair bit.

He's quite funny, the little pipsqueak.
Remember he's not a full grown man or even as big as Kate Moss so he does have to go a bit extra to get noticed, to be fair.

I asked about him, in the most annoying boxer thread.
Not seen him fight live so dont like to pass judgement.
But not doing himself any favours, an after the way he was on IFLTV when first seen him, then on boxnation the other night, I will say he comes across a absolute clown, I hope just naive, poorly advised.
Unless this is his way of getting noticed? He just needs to show a bit of respect to retired pros, and now back up his mouth in the ring.

    He's good for boxing.

He's entertaining and obviously has some skill.
