I think upping the standard of boxers competing, could go against what made the previous Prizefighter entertaining, just a thought...

bit harsh, the first one was qaulity, non stop punching and excitement.

think you might have a point jc.......it might get a bit too technical to be as much fun...

I think its a great idea..... I like the idea of Joe Public developing familarity with the fighters.... Put it this way could you give a shite about Martin Rogan and Sexton pre Prizefighter 1-2??? Now if you put them in the ring together I'd call that almost a must see domestic clash.

I cant see past Ted Bami, hes definately the big name in there, although its only 3 rounds so anything can happen we will have to see the draw. anyone know when it is?

I like the odds on Nigel Wright.

I'd back him if I was having a punt.

Bami should win this on talent alone, but he's a bottler. May not perform.

Bami or Wright would be my pick

I am surprised Hatton jr is not in this - probably content to pad his record against some bum in Las Vegas rather than have the chance to win £25k

It is a copy of the old one night (normally) eight man tournaments that first became popular in the early 20th century and were still going into the 1970s in this country.

I like the look of Minters odds for this one. Lomax is my pick though.

Really looking forward to the nights action.

Bami would be the logical choice here, but in this format anything can, and probably will happen. Whatever does happen it should be a real beano and a nice change from watching the heavyweights clubbing each other senseless.

    Draw's just been announced:

    Quarter-finals
    George Hillyard v Ted Bami
    Steve Conway v Mark Lloyd
    Michael Lomax v Craig Dickson
    Ross Minter v Nigel Wright

    Semi-finals
    Hillyard / Bami v Conway / Lloyd
    Lomax / Dickson v Minter / Wright

Lomax, Minter and Wright in the same half of the draw must make Bami an even shorter favourite.
