Its great yeah in one sense, I just hope the fights not a stinker! In the other sense though i'm trying to explain to my mates to get into other fighters and they haven't got a clue! But yeah your right its cool everyone talking about this fight, atleast boxing is back in sort of general consensus - people talking about it in the barbers, pubs etc. And thanks to Paul O'Grady eevn the housewives and grandma's want Haye to bash that big ugly Russian!!!

  2. :deal Totally agree mate. Haye is a genius at self promotion, look at the stir those t-shirts had. Haye wont go gung ho straight away, he will guage valuevs chin, and try and find his reach, and try to telegraph his punches then bang the beast will fall...

  3. ****, I know what you mean, my Mum, Sisters, everyone I know was hyped for Quigley-Smith.

My Mum was reading a book by round 9 I believe.

the major problem i see is that Haye grapples and holds his oppenents, watch his fights with Barrett, Fragomeni, Enzo, Mormeck he is always in the clinch, he cannot do this against Valuev.

I feel Valuev may walk through Haye's shots. If Haye can keep away from Valuevs pucnhes and keep going he may stop Valuev through accumulation.

I feel Haye will either A) get stopped B) lose on points.

Whoever David Haye hits, gets hurt...

David Haye does not understand points victorys..

This is the atitude David Haye has....!

Mentally, what will it do to him.....

When or if his power has no real affect on "The Beast"..?

Because i don't see David Haye winning a distance fight, the longer it goes....

The more dangerous it is for Haye..

I feel he will do this too. However, Haye's poor punch resistance will let him down. Fast he is, but he's no Sweet Pea. Valuev will clobber him at some point and even though he's a non-puncher that mass will put Haye over IMO

Are you thick or something? we've already seen what happens when Haye's punches have no effect; he gets stopped.

Mentally or whatever, if Haye can't knock Valuev out he'd better have something else otherwise he's getting stopped, regardless whether he's realised what's gone wrong or not.

Hopefully Booth will keep him calm between rounds and encourage him to shift tactics through rounds. However, taking rounds off or trying to keep Valuev at bay with clinching is not gonna work here as A) he will lose on points B) Valuev's weight/strength/chest hair will do Haye in

David Haye has to attack this fight, like Usain Bolt....

From the bell, he needs to set a fast pace....

If David Haye stands off too much, he will incounter "Problems"

If David Haye WINS this fight, i see him winning early.

3 - 4 round knock out or TKO.

    He's only been stopped once...

My only concern is that Valuev lands a punch.

yeah, Thompson was hurt numerous times.

The question is will it affect Haye mentally if Valuev walks through his punches?

The answer is; we have seen what happens to Haye when someone walks through his punches. he keeps going until his legs stiffen. Thompson was years ago and at Cruiser, but if a shot (but admittedly tough as ****) Thompson could take Haye's punches long enough to stay in there and fight back, Valuev probably can as well.
