You right, he is torn, i think thats why at first he was saying he only wants 1 more fight but now he's sayin 2 or 3 more fights is a possibility, i think thats also due to the fact that the hopkins fight didn't make him look good and he needs another fight like the lacy fight before he retires. I think he believes he could look good against pavlik and make big money with rjj and those will probably be his next two fights.

But a fighter talking about a fighter is hardly "proof" that he wants him. The proof is when he signs the contract.
Yeah, his style is made for Calzaghe but wouldn't it be great to see if Calzaghe can survive another hard hitter. It's almost guaranteed that Calzaghe at one point will be hit really hard. Will he get over it one more time and will we finally see an opponent willing to follow up on all cylinders? I think Kelly Pavlik is the man for that. Some people say that Calzaghe survives the period right after being rocked by punching back immediately. I'm suggesting that's where opponnents have to engage full power. Pavlik should take the risk knowing that Calzaghe has the better stamina down the line anyway. Let's have the contracts signed for this fight ASAP.:good
I never said proof the fight was going to happen, just that its proof that calzaghe want to fight pavlik!! You listen to the interview, he says he wants to fight him.
Calzaghe's attitude these days makes the middle part of his career all the more frustrating in hindsight.
I think Pavlik is made for Joe to be honest. I think it would be a tough fight, but only see one outcome. Calzaghe UD12 116-112 or similar.
