Props to Dawson. He made a fan out of me last night. He looked as good as you're really gonna get against Hopkins. I liked his footwork, his ability to avoid getting tied up and clinched, lure Hopkins in with feints then slip out the side or the back door and punch him for his efforts from time to time.

Some people were bored watching this fight but I enjoyed it. I liked what I saw from both fighters but I have to give it up to Dawson again, he won straight up, no need for any arguments over the decison which isn't always the case in a Hopkins loss.

I was actually more impressed with Hopkins and his amazing defense and hand speed for a 47 year old. I expected Dawson to win more convincingly given his great talents. I expected him to really put it on Hopkins and hurt him a few times and possibly take him out late. But of course, you have to give Dawson full credit.

Hopkins has good fundamentals and an unusually disciplined lifestyle, that might why he can perform so well at his age. Boxing is about movement, and Hopkins knows how to move. Some of his moves are questionable, but what the hell, he is still moving. Compare him to the bums that get in the ring with Klitschko. They are static, unmotivated, and disciplined. They don't move like Hopkins or the great heavies of the past. They just stand there and get knocked out. If Hopkins just stood there in front of Dawson, he would get knocked out too.

I enjoyed the fight. Great skill from both sides and Dawson is the only one to beat him clear post-Jones 1. Very ugly at times but there were some decent exchanges and I tip my hat off to both. I was saying Hops looked like he was aging during the Pascal fights though that style was tailor made for him. Dawson was smooth and very disciplined with his attacks causing Hopkins to miss his famous rights most of the time and not catch openings.

Hopkins took the loss well but he pussyfooted around saying Dawson beat him. Still he said Dawson fought well and deserves tons of respect. Can't wait to see Dawson after this and I will continue to root for both fighters. Both were class and Dawson could've went in with the insults after being fouled to death I admit but he said he was fortunate to be in the ring with Hops and was class. Props to both men really. Chad is right saying since he made it through Hops II he can make it through anything. Hope to see this confidence continue and look forward to him dominating LHW. Dawson's time! No more mental lapses!

Dawson is good and young, but really cant get excited about wanting to watch him in the future. It just looks like his fights are sparring sessions and its wash, rinse, repeat, round after rd. Its tough to get emotionaly involved in such scraps unless you have underlying reasons to watch em. Irs like watching paint dry. Chad is boring as **** content to win 7 out of 12 and go home.

The black Goofy is boring and ackward. No matter who he beats or what he does he will never ever be a real draw. Ever. Wont happen.

He is lanky, and has some reach advantages. He is fast, but not as fast as a Dirrell. He is techincally ok, but nothing special. He is unclever, which is fairly unusual for a counterboxer. In short he looks awkward, and he has no selling points in his game..

Yeah he has no personality and can't be a big draw but I just admire his skills as a fighter and look forward to a Pascal II match. Should've mentioned Pascal instead of Ward as they have unfinished business. Guy has talent you can't deny that and as long as he fights the best I could care less whether he's an entertaining character. The problem would be his cautious style as he can't draw people with that though I like him anyways. Fought well Saturday and hope for more performances from him like that to come.
