I am aware that Mosley never fought at 140 but there is no reason he couldn't have been effective at this weight seeing as he moved up from 135... and obviously pryor at 140 was a beast

    who you got?

Also can someone tell me more about Pryor, i just watched his two fights against Arguello and was blown away... what other fights of his should i watch? Where would you rank him in history?

is he allowed to have super super fast juice?

actually i suppose shane isnt too clean in that regard either. maybe the rule should be let each one take whatever they want and have a roid rage scrap!

Pryor was an excellent 140 lb. fighter, ranked pretty highly all-time at that weight. He was a top ranked Ring magazine contender at 135 while he was the champ @ 140.

His resume is a little weak though compared to his ability. People talk about how the big names "avoided" him, but they were in different divisions anyway, and managerial problems prevented a Duran match (and Pryor or his team weren't happy with $500k for a Leonard bout).

I'd recommend to watch Pryor's title winning fight against Antonio Cervantes, and his bout with DeJuan Johnson. The Johnson fight was a wild war. His win over Kameda was fun too.

Mosley and Pryor would be an excellent fight. Pryor was an aggressive fighter who could get careless at times, and leave his chin in the air. He was dropped a few times getting sloppy like that, but his punch resistance was sound. He had an interesting herky-jerky, upper body movement defense. His workrate was top-notch. Mosley's more of a "speedy slugger". He doesn't have the workrate of Pryor, but is a little taller and has a sizeable reach advantage. He loves to trade, and it's where he excels, so I'd expect a lot of exchanges in this bout.

    Mosley close decision

I go with Pryor by close decision, it would be really close, I think the workrate of Pryor would bag more close rds. & that could be the deciding factor.
There are a few other fights of Pryor at 135 & 140 but not vs anyone of the quality of Arguello, the names of these opponents are not fresh on my mind at all... Pryor outpointed Tommy Hearns in the amatuer`s, even scoring a quick KD, shows you he was the real deal.

I rate Pryor as the 2nd best 140 lber of all time behind Julio cesar Chavez - I think most on here have Pryor as no1 at 140, thats ok with me.

    :good

Pryor would have outworked Mosely in a great scrap. Probably Aaron would have been on the floor.

    Great matchup.

I'd take Mosley, despite Pryor being the greatest LWW ever.

I think it's a toss up, but I give Mosley a slight edge because of his power and speed. Could go either way though :good
