There has always been an openness about the purses in heavyweight title fights. Especially the really big ones. In the 80 s everybody knew holmes and cooney got 10 million each for their fight. The same with tysons fights, lewis purses were also public... However I cant seem to find any source telling me what kind of purses wlad and haye makes...It has been that way with many of the klits fights, since they started on their own. Anybody know the numbers on this fight?
Since the K-Bros are their own promoters they will make huge money with this fight. Should be more then ten millions.
I'm going to see it live! Who cares about the purse - all I know is that I only paid 51 Euros for a ticket.
Why shouldn't Wlad make a ton of money while Haye gets a challenger purse? lets remember Wlad is the champion and Haye hasn't done anything to warrant this shot... If Haye had fought 2 or 3 respectable heavyweights then yeah maybe he should get paid more...but lets remember these guys get paid per fight not per word...
well haye ONLY gets the money from the uk broadcaster setanta whereas wlad gets ALL the money from hbo, german tv and all the gate reciepts
