Thought it would be Quarry vs Jack Sharkey. Now that would have been something to think about. I believe Quarry would beat Tom Sharkey, although there's almost no footage on Tom, but by all accounts he was a short, small pressure fighter going up against a good counter puncher with power in Quarry. Tom Sharkey is not exactly Joe Frazier, he was a light heavyweight in size and didn't pay much attention to defense. Frazier's bobbing & weaving made it difficult for Quarry to land his own punches. I don't see Quarry having such difficulties here.
This would be a sizzler and much would depend on Quarrys tactics. If he let himself get drawn into a slugfest like he did against Joe Frazier, then he could play into the sailors hands. Sharkey backed up everybody incidentaly, including Jeffries and Fitz. The road to victory for Quarry would be to use a combination of Fitzsimmons strategy in the second fight and Ruhlins strategy in the second fight.
