    I remember reading about it in one of the Darcy books I have. I also remember Langford saying something along the lines of maybe I should have fought you and Les said he would have loved that.

    Thats true mate... There's several references made in a few of the Darcy books. Swanwick makes a good mention in 'the golden boy of boxing'.

    Brett ( boots ) Beekin is Ron Beekin's son. Ron inflicted Kahu Mahanga 's first defeat. At his next fight Mahanga KO'd Tony Mundine . Ron was a freak but his heart wasn't in training . His son Brett had a ton of ability also.
