Following on from Flux's suggestion, I have started a thread with questions from ESB posters for which they would really like some answers. Here are mine....... 2. Has he fallen out with Setanta for doing deals with Top Rank and David Haye - who won't put on constant mismatches? 3. When is Amir Khan going to stop ducking the leading domestic fighters at LIGHTWEIGHT? (Not feather or superfeather - LIGHT :deal) 4. Did you really believe Hatton had a chance against Mayweather, or was it just for the cameras? 5. Who in your opinion is the leading British prospect (he can fight on ITV, Sky or Setanta) The reason for asking Q5 is because we saw a list from Glenn McCrory (legend) that was full of fighters that only ever appear on FFN - I am curious for Buncey's opinion!
Asking a public figure like Steve Bunce to answer these questions is a bit of a **** take mate, your asking for too much. First off if he even has the answers he would put them in his newspaper columns or on tv. He is in a position where if he says certain things he feels, he could get fired by setanta, also he could upset a few boxers that he is good mates with. 1. He is clearly good mate with Warren. He always has good things to say about him. 2. Haye has not even put on a show yet. Top Rank have plenty of mis matched. Pavlik vs Lockett, Pacman vs Soto for example. if he was to reveal this he would likley get fired by Setanta, and not be allowed to attend Sports Network shows, meaning he would not being able to make a decent living from being a boxing journo. 3. How could he answer this. He has expressed his opinion on this and admitted that Khan has a dodgy chin and is being kept away from big punching natural lightweights. 4. He has said on this forum that he genuninley thought that Hatton would win, and that Hatton did not impliment the plan Graham had for him that they worked on in the gym. He said whether this is due to Floyd preventing him from doing it, or Hatton not being good enough is a question that still remains. 5. No doubt he would say Khan, as any logical boxing fan would say. The only question I would have for Buncey is what were Enzo Maccs suposed problems in the build up to the Haye fight??? i dont expect an answer...........but PM me yeh lol
Roy Jones and JC will be on sky boxoffice their is no doubting that? Because hatton against castillo was on setanta and then up comes mayweather and sky come up trumps.
My question for Buncey would be - "Do you feel Mayweather has decided to quit rather than facing Cotto"?
