this is from a liverpool footy forum im on, any ideas -

We're having a family discussion and a name's escaping us...

    The clues are:
    - fought in (we think) 50's or 60's.
    - won a British or World title.
    - He quit boxing due to the amount of tax he was being charged
    - He was on a Children's TV show as a member of the cast.

    Any ideas who it is?

    Evan Armstrong.

It was a little known fact that he worked on Swap Shop. A friend of a certain Mr Chegwin also.
