Well I guess he did fight a few K1 guys, but that was rather early in his career.

Rampage packs big power and lands fairly often. Still think Machida will win this however.

I like Rampage and all but I dont see how he's going to get off his power shots...Machida is a master at Striking IMO...He's precise striking will make Rampage look foolish at times.

    I like Machida by UD.

Yep, Rampage is really good with his hands, especially when he is able to get in close enough range to start countering with hooks and is allowed to move forward at close range.

Problem is Machida's strategy usually includes throwing the sort of shots that you can't counter, off controlling the distance. He does things like circle and catch you with a strike as you pivot to adjust to his circling. He is just a very elusive guy to try and follow around. When you follow him, you need to anticipate strikes that he throws without being set. He pretty much specializes in throwing strikes that you cannot read. Strikes like this in theory don't need to have a ton of power behind them because when you get hit with something you aren't expecting, it has more of an effect. From here, if he does buzz you he will hit you with heavy shots. Background in Shotokan is all about demolishing strikes..

I expect to see Rampage follow him around and get tagged. Machida will probably respect Rampage's chin and go ahead and perform debilitating surgery on his legs, taking his power and speed away.. From here it ends however he wants to end it. KO, sub, whatever he wants.
