How would you rank the following ten fighters on overall punching ability?

    Marco Huck
    Arthur De Kuh
    Walter Cobb
    Bill Hartwell
    Primo Carnera
    George Godfrey
    Ralph Smith
    Max Baer
    Isidoro Gastanaga
    Ike Ibeabuchi

As a side note my Dad watched Isidoro Gastanaga train many times back in the 30's. His comment to me as to what he remembered was that Isidoro would bring right uppercuts literally from the ring canvas to his sparring partners chin and knock them out/down. Although otherwise not greatly skilled he possessed good right hand power.

    Baer
    Godfrey
    Ibeabuchi

    Gastanaga

I don't consider any of the others punchers but I'm not really familiar with most of them. The old guys have the "usual suspects" on their records the," career canvas boys ",which can flatter and fatten anyone's ko record.
    Never seen Huck.

Here's a HL vid of Huck. I'd recommend muting the sound unless you want to hear a growly metal head sing about his erect phallus.

Is there a connection between these fighters or just some randomly pick of a mixture of some well known names and some obscure ones?

It's a bit random to be sure.

This ranking is to help put Huck in perspective compared to punchers like Max Baer.

Some people think that Huck punched as hard or harder than Baer (lol). So I am listing both of them next to lesser known punchers from the day who fought at Hucks level. To help provide context to the topic.

Every question like this has a bit or randomness to it.

I posted his because I wanted to hear what other people think. But I can do a breakdown in a bit.

    What do you think?
Does the bruising Marco Huck punch harder than Godfrey, Gastanaga, or Hartwell?

I've never seen them fight so I couldn't say. Would you consider them harder punchers than Max Baer?

Huck fought at the same level, relatively speaking, as Baer. He also held the title and was top rated for a number of years. Can the same be said for those other names you've listed?

    :risas3:

That song is by Powerwolf. They have plenty of more suitable material for a boxing clip  The creator should have used something like the Tiger of Sabrod.

Anyway, Huck hits pretty hard but Baer is obviously the bigger puncher.

Huck, however, is more skilled and works harder.
