5...he took a beating from a guy using plaster for 10 rounds before finally putting a knee to the canvas.

He took a beating as a dehydrated fighter who was fighting a guy on steroids for almost 12 rounds.

He has been in wars beyond that including Clottey, Mosley, and Judah....

I vote 4. Cotto has heart, but 5 is reserved for do-or-die type fighters. Cotto isn't quite that.

On A NORMAL scale hes a 5... On a Holyfield Scale hes a 4. Holyfield was on that Gatti level, borderline stupidity. Cotto has a bit of sense in him, and he KNOWS when hes broken.

Not really. I see 5 as someone who's willing to die trying in there. I don't even rate my favorite fighters as 5.

4 are guys who don't go into survival mode.

Your being a fool. Being a multidimensional fighter doesn't drop you down on the heart scale, moving on your back foot and throwing pot shots to steal rounds doesn't make you a ***** boxer. Being a brainless pressure fighter like Ricky Hatton doesn't make your heart any bigger, it just makes you stupid. These "boxer" types that will move around the ring because they know they'd get KO'd if they go Toe to Toe have just as much heart as the biggest hearts in boxing.

This thread is too heavy for all the little puss ****s on this board. Go experience an equilibrium shot, needles down your spine and legs, loss of hearing type of situation and then tell me whether or not its more "heart" to sit there and get ktfo versus moving around and surviving another round.

Heart looks to be synonymous with stupidity on this board. If thats the case, **** heart. AKA, Margarito vs Pacquiao.

Miguel didn't steal many rounds when he was on the back foot tryna potshot emmanuel. I gave him a round. His focus became finishing the fight instead of winning.
