Rate Pavlik's Jab

    I think his jab, obviously minus the right, is the difference. I would give him a B, because I was screaming for him to use it more often. He controlled JT with it.

    At one point in time in the fifth or sixth round, he was hitting Taylor almost at will with his jab. As Taylor tired, Pavlik's jab was certainly more and more effectively. I think Pavlik put it best in his prefight comments. It doesn't look like he's hitting hard on tape, but I think that jab is one devastating punch.

    He's got a great jab, and knows how to work behind. I give it an A-. It's what kept JT honest and set up that right hand that ended the fight.

    He has an excellent jab. Very hard and crisp. Doesn't look flashy, but it is brutally effective.

    Simple logic here!

    You don't land as many right hands as Pavlik does without having an excellent jab.

    He is a natural lefty, so he has a lot pop in it.

    I thought he left it hanging out too much. Taylor had quite a bit of success throwing rights over the top of it. It seems stiff though
