It's top 5 over the past 30 years. And, if you think Holmes is overrated, provide your critieria and explain how he comes up short.

He is HW champion of the world with over 50 fights for ****s sake, not some early pro setting out along the path, he should be able to handle all styles.

    7. Wlad was too tentative and seemed confused for the first few
rounds but his experience and superior power and skills started to
show by mid rounds. Awesome right hand to finish the show. Wlad
has an advantage in that his corner people especially Manny are first
rate. They tell him what he's doing right, what he's doing wrong and
how to employ better strategy. Thompson's corner were bush league
    by comparison.

I think it's obvious to most that Wlad is handling all styles from the
powerpunchers like Peter to slick counterpunchers like Iggy and all
the others. Wlad beats all their butts with relative ease. This
Thompson victory was no easy task. His chin and toughness were
worldclass and he fought defensively making it hard for Wlad to
look good. Still Wlad got that all important one-punch K.O.

Weird, I was thinking 6 too.

He's got a 10 in him but he just doesn't seem willing to risk showing it.

Povetkin's got solid footwork but he moves forward at a slow pace. My guess is that Wlad backs up and jabs for the first 6 rounds. Then he moves forward and jabs for the next 4. And then proceeds to throw three right hands a round for the remaining 2 rounds. in other words get ready for another real boaring fight.

I'd say a 7. He did win the fight easily and eventually took the guy out. Yes it was boring as hell but that's the way it goes. He always fights the same way unless he's forced to do anything different.

    8. He did what he had to do and win by KO, doesn't matter what round but he got it done.

A solid 7 for me. It wasn't the sharpest I've seen Wlad, but he still clearly beat a big, awkward southpaw worse than he's ever been beaten. I'm still keeping him in my P4P top 10.

Yep. Taking current accomplishments and head to head into account, it'd be unfair on my part not to include him. Him and Haye round out my top 10.

Well, it's your top ten list. If Wlad is on it, that's your problem.

I gave him a 5. He was adequate, nothing more.
