No, he had it right. Punching power is one thing, ability to knockout top-tier opposition is something altogether different.

And the question appears to refer to the former and not the latter.

What if there were two Razor Ruddocks and both threw a SMASH at the same time and their fists collided? Would that be as POWERful as Marciano's 4 cm punch? I mean, even if it didn't hit anything? Or do you think George Foreman 2 sherms deep on dust punching a Volkswagen traveling at 40 MPH might be harder?

    That is very true.

If he'd lost to Ruddock but beaten Lewis, I wouldn't be the least surprised to see him naming Lewis as the most powerful puncher he met.

But he did beat Bruno and Smith after taking their best punches as well, so it does mean something. Ruddock sure did hit hard.

That pretty much described George Foreman during his comeback (yes, yes, I know, he knocked out Moorer, but still). George's vaunted punching power was not so special against the more elite guys (unless it was against a chinny blown-up light heavyweight in Moorer).

Leroy Caldwell, who fought Foreman, Lyle, and Shavers, and who sparred with Frank Bruno, said Bruno hit just as hard as those guys. Bruno was a major banger as well.

I honestly think he full powered punch was absurdly powerful. His knockouts were devastating. Its just a matter of how cleanly hit hit his opponents because sometimes he swung wild and didn't hit his opponents cleanly. He hit Mike cleanly multiple times when he timed Mikes head movement

Monster puncher. At the time only Bruno and Lewis could compete with him for sheer force

He could hit but I believe there were many guys that probably could of loaded up one big bomb every 30 seconds hit just as hard. He telegraphed it off balance. Just saying not that effective. He knockout 2 nd tier journey men and past their best ABC belt holders.

He wasn't a monster puncher. Tommy Morrison took flush shots and stood up to him.

He wasn't fighting regular by 95 but his power should have been there. The power is the last thing to go. Like George Foreman at 44 had Morrison running for the hills.
