Why can't people just accept what happened? Cortez this. Elbows that. Ricky is too big. Ricky is too small. Garbage. Bottom line, Ricky is a very good fighter. Floyd is a great fighter. What happened tonight is what happens when a great fighter fights a really good fighter. Props to Floyd and Ricky. And despite a horrendous undercard, which GBP should be ashamed of, this was a good night for boxing. Imagine if they would have had a great undercard. It would have been a great night for boxing!

Great post, the better man one. Floyd beats Ricky ten out of ten times.

    Period, end of paragraph.

But rational arguments like this will NEVER end the whining. Heck, if it had gone to the cards, things were all set up for the usual "robbery" talk from the loser's partisans! :nod

I actually don't think Ricky fought that badly. He did all he could. He simply wasn't good enough to beat a great fighter. To be honest with you, I don't think anyone can beat Floyd. It's similar to Tiger Woods and Roger Federer. Everyone is playing for second, and there's no shame in that.
