We currently have 17 weight divisions, which in the opinion of many fans is too many. Do you agree?

I've drawn up 13 weight divisions which I think are quite reasonable, do you think they are better than our current model, and what would you change from the weights I've drawn up.

    Minimumweight - 105lbs,

    Jr. Flyweight - 108lbs

    Flyweight - 112lbs,

    Bantamweight - 117lbs,

    Featherweight - 124lbs,

    Super Featherweight - 130lbs,

    Lightweight - 137lbs,

    Welterweight - 145lbs,

    Middleweight - 158lbs,

    Super Middleweight - 168lbs,

    Light Heavyweight, 178lbs,

    Cruiserweight - 195lbs

    Heavyweight - 195lbs+

There is a need for a new "super heavyweight" Class, from say, 225-250.

May soon need a third " heavyweight " class say 250-275!

This would reflect the simple physical reality that guys are bigger today.

Definitely too many weight divisions but out of those listed I wouldn't change the current WW 147 lb and not the 160 lb middleweight limit.

Agree with Czar in terms of the number of ''champions''. 68 world champions not including the pathetic 'Super' titles is too much. I think there are good reasons for both light-welter and light-middleweight divisions though, and yes I'm a big Aaron Pryor and Terry Norris fan!

Light is 0kg solid.. it touches the foot scales.. dark matter doesn't touch 0kg solid..

It looks dark in a dark room and in-visible in a light room..

Things only have colour because the colour of light is reflecting off the object..

Lighter weights have speed.. Heavier weights have force..

    Speed x Force = Power

But really we call force the dig..

Would agree with having a super heavy division. As you say people are naturally bigger. 14 stone 4 in this day in age is not very heavy and to have anything above that as the heaviest weight seems strange. I've also never understood why there is such a 25 pound weight gap between light heavy and cruiser. It's almost a two stone jump when the weights just below that go up by half a stone!

Big changes I think the gap between super middleweight and cruiser is to big and agree heavyweight feels like two weight divisions in one. Would reduce cruiser weight to around 190ib then have a Weight Up to about 225ibs then heavyweight. To many heavyweights who put on unatural weight to get region of 17st when they would ideally be better suited to fighting at 15 odd stone eg Haye and Chisora. Re name some weight classes for example light heavy should be weight below heavyweight.

    Indeed.
It's plainly ridiculous lumping ezzard Charles in with vitali klitchko.

Time for some new heavyweight divisions to reflect this reality.

Get rid of the weight divisions. Bigger weight jumps mean less weight jumps, which means deeper divisions, less champions and boxers being more recognised to the mainstream.

The solution's been simple for a while.

There's nothing wrong with, say , Carl Frampton, but can you imagine the stink if they organised a fight for him with say GGG?

Well that's what we are talking about, pro Rata, with today's giant heavies.
